Upcoming Events

  • 09 May - 20 Jun
  • 12 Jul - 11 Oct

Amid the growing concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic we want you to know we are closely monitoring the situation and adjusting a number of our policies and procedures to keep our humans safe.

Effective immediately we are suspending the acceptance of new foster and adoption applications.. We have a number of adoption applications currently in process. Those applications will remain on hold until further notice as we are suspending all home visits.

GRIN does have a number of dogs in foster care. We will continue to adopt those dogs out to approved adoptive homes.  Note depending on the circumstances we may adjust our meet and greet criteria. Additional information will be shared with the foster team directly.

All store and special events are suspended through the end of April.

Our hope and goal is to continue to rescue those Golden Retrievers in our area that so desperately need our help.   We will handle all intake, transports and vet visits with extra safety measures to minimize potential risk to those involved.

It is important to note the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) has stated there is no evidence at this time that pets can spread COVID-19.  For more information on COVID-19 I encourage you to visit the CDC or World Health Organization websites.

Here at GRIN we are thankful and blessed to have so many wonderful people who generously give of their valuable time and resources on behalf of the dogs that desperately need our help.  Without that support we simply could not continue to do the good work we do!  Thank you for your amazing support! In the meantime please stay safe and healthy!

Hugs!

Over the past year GRIN has taken in an increased number of puppy mill dogs and as a result we are in need of appropriate foster/adoptive homes.  The damage done during the years in the mill can be overcome, but it takes the right environment, time and dedication. What we are looking for in a mill dog foster/adopter: a fenced yard with a traditional fence another well socialized dog Read More
Earlier this year, as my husband and I moved through the foster application process, we were both excited and nervous. There were so many unknowns. We had no idea what to expect in a displaced dog, what we were capable of and what was best for our resident Golden, Luna. But we wanted to make a difference in the path of a dog who needed us, and above all else, Read More

What are people saying?

Everyone at GRIN has been supportive before, during and after the adoption of our senior girl Honey. We love our GRIN family who always puts the dogs needs first and foremost!

Fostering has been a wonderful experience for me, 12 years and 56 dogs later! I like being a step in the process of moving dogs into permanent, loving homes.
