Description

Amber was a breeder surrender. With the sudden changes, Amber may need some time to decompress. She is a bit nervous and timid, but oh, so sweet! She rides nicely in the car. Her coat is not in the best condition, which can be due to her having just weaned a litter of puppies. Amber had a routine spay and dental. She is being treated for a mild UTI and an ear infection. A small mass on her right elbow will be monitored.

Foster Updates

October 5, 2026
Amber is continuing to blossom into the absolute sweetest girl! While she started out very timid, she has made massive strides in her confidence over the last month. She is a quiet, gentle girl who is good with kids, cats and other dogs. While she can still be a bit shy at first, she really lights up when other dogs visit. They also guide her in how to play! More updates on sweet Amber are: • Crate Graduate: She now only uses her crate for bedtime! During the day, she loves hanging out in common rooms with her foster parents, but especially with foster dad in the office. • The Ball Collector: Amber has discovered fetch! She loves playing ball in the backyard and has started gathering a little indoor collection to keep right next to her. (See her moves in the video!) • Yard Pro: She now confidently does her "business" in the yard all on her own. • Distinguished Diner: Food isn't her biggest motivator, but she is eating well, though she does prefer her meals formally "served" to her like the queen she is! • Conquering Fears: Indoor noises don't bother her at all anymore! Big outside sounds like trucks, motorcycles, and buses can still be a little alarming, but her foster parents are working through it with her. She gets lots of calming pets, reassurance, and some fresh chicken pieces to help her unwind once the noise passes. Amber needs a family willing to give her a little time and patience to show her true colors. We are so proud of the brave girl she is becoming!

Amber is just the sweetest girl! She is very shy and timid, but every now and then we see a tiny glimmer of curiosity. She's doing well considering all the changes in her world in a short time. Amber typically feels most comfortable in her crate but is working on her confidence to explore other rooms now and then. New noises and loud sounds can startle her but that has improved since coming to her foster home. She is good with cats and walks great on a leash. Amber will need time and patience, but we know her furever home is in her near future.
