GRIN’s park event season kicks off on Sunday May 22nd with our annual Bark in the Park!!! You don’t want to miss what we have in store this year! “Thank you for being a friend. Travel down the road and back again. Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant” We are throwing a party and inviting everyone we know for this year’s event- as we are delighted to celebrate GRIN’s very own “Golden Girl” Ingrid Nelson!! Ingrid has been a member of our organization now for over 10 years. During her time as our “Trainer Extraordinaire” she has fostered over 130 dogs- many of which came into our care with behavioral issues. Without her dedication and commitment to GRIN and the dogs we rescue, many of our most successful adoption stories would not have been possible! Join us on Sunday May 22nd from 11:30-2:00 at the Oak Grove Pavilion at the Brecksville Metroparks. Our “Golden Girl” celebration will begin at 11:30 and go until 2:00 pm. This year’s Bark will feature some fun and exciting activities for humans and canines alike - raffle baskets, a “Puppy Peanut Butter Picasso” painting session, a doggie photo booth and a “Pup Cup” Bar for your pooch! This event is open to the public and all dog-friendly dogs are welcome (all dogs must be on a leash, no flexi’s please). Tickets will be just $20 and include a boxed lunch for the humans and “Pup Cup” bar for canines. Registration is now open! Funds raised from this year’s BARK will go to help offset the cost of care for our dogs that are currently in training with Ingrid. Dogs like Moose, who came to us with resource guarding and confidence issues. Moose has been with our trainer for over a year and has made significant strides during that period. So much so, that he is now ready for a special forever home all his own!! We have several options available for you to “be a friend” to Moose and our other dogs in training: Sponsorships: $500 Sicily Sister $250 Shady Pines Pal $100 Bosom Buddy Blanche $100 Pup Cup Bar $50 Amigo Rose $25 Confidant Dorothy $15 Supportive Sophia $10 Cheesecake Chum In addition to sponsorships, we are currently seeking scratch off lottery ticket donations in any amount or baskets/items for our raffle. All tickets collected will be used for a “St. Olaf’s Stash” lottery raffle prize that will be used for our online raffle and mailed to the lucky winner! Lottery tickets can be mailed to: Lindsey Murray 4209 Woodhollow Drive Mantua OH, 44255 If you are interested in donating a raffle item/basket, please email Lindsey Murray at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Unable to make the event? No problem, you can still support our dogs in training! We will also have an online raffle option for a “St. Olaf’s Stash” lottery basket. For just $5, you will get an entry for your chance at the basket and the lucky winner will have the tickets mailed to them! Tickets are now available!
