GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Welcome Gus! Gus was surrendered by his owner due to moving. He is a young boy and will need continued training and boundaries. He is currently starting his journey with us with our foster/trainer before heading off to his forever home. Check back for updates!

Foster Update: 7/16/26

Gus is ready to find his fur-ever home!  This sweet boy can be a handful and needs someone dedicated to ongoing obedience and positive training. His ideal adopter will not only commit to training but also welcome Gus into their active, athletic lifestyle. Love hiking or running? Gus is your guy!  

He’s been working with GRIN’s trainer, who calls him a super fun dog—very smart but with a short attention span. He’s a happy pup who wiggles his whole body when he’s with you.  

Though he has dog friends and plays well, he sets clear boundaries and doesn’t enjoy it when other dogs get in his face. Gus would thrive as the only dog in a home, with canine friends who respect his space.  

While his behavior around cats is unknown, it’s safe to say he’d be eager to give chase. He enjoys walks and does great walking with a harness.  Gus is not for the faint of heart but for the fun-loving people who can keep up!  Ready to meet your new best friend?
