GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit from obedience training. schoolbus

This little nugget is special! He came to us as an emergency intake, as it is believed he has a severe infection, likely with his kidneys or bladder. Tests have been done and sent out for further evaluation. Foster reported he’s playful but is working to keep him calm at this time. Stay tuned for updates and say a little prayer for Freddy.

Foster Update: 7/2/26

Freddy was only 5 weeks old when he came into GRIN’s care.  Initially there was uncertainty regarding his medical needs & he spent 2 days undergoing testing at our partner vet’s office.  He was found to have a UTI & has been on medication to help with this.  This sweet baby struggled to pee constantly, but as of today is doing well.

Freddy is a voracious eater and has gained 2 pounds in about a week.  He loves the special food & supplements his foster mom is feeding him.  His current schedule has him eating about every 4 hours, with playtime & then napping in between!  He does very well with sleeping thru the night. When he wants to eat or play, he is very vocal & lets his foster mom know!

Freddy is very laid back & good at entertaining himself.  When it’s play time, he plays hard.  He loves his toys and especially his stuffed duck and panda.  Freddy, being a typical puppy, will chew on anything, especially your fingers and hands, if you let him. His foster mom distracts him with toys and stuffed animals, as those puppy teeth are sharp!!  He’s very curious about everything…of course he loves to be loved on.

Freddy is very curious and shows great interest in the resident dogs.  He is being slowly introduced to them as they have not experienced puppies before!
