Ellie was another relinquishment come to GRIN. With the right family and love, Ellie will be a loyal companion. In the vet’s care, she was treated for bilateral ear infections, received vaccines, and was microchipped and spayed.

Foster Update: 7/17/26
Ellie is a very friendly and affectionate little Golden who has adjusted well to her new surroundings and the daily routines with the resident Goldens. The television still scares her, and she lays in her crate for a bit, inching her way into the room and finally snuggling on foster mom’s feet for security. She is accustomed to other household sounds; loud noises and strange objects do not seem to bother her; thanks to the constant road construction she loves to watch while on the front porch. Ellie is a smart little girl. She comes when she is called, is completely house trained and familiar with the words “outside”, “eat”, “potty”,“house”, and follows the cues “sit” and “stay”.
She loves to be the center of attention… literally! She will wiggle her way between the two resident dogs to get a hug or a treat. She hasn’t shown much interest in the toy basket yet but recently discovered she could pick up sticks and pinecones and bring them inside. She loves to be outdoors but has only walked twice thus far. Ellie really pulls on the leash, so she wore a Gentle Leader like her foster siblings do.
Ellie is crated when her foster mom leaves and lays down when the crate door is closed. She sleeps upstairs with the other two Goldens at night. She has become very much a part of her foster pack and is coming into her own. Ellie is a little sweetheart!
