GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Meet Gray, a lively young Golden Retriever mix with a heart full of love. She was relinquished to a shelter as her owner's landlord didn't allow her in the home.  Gray's boundless energy is contagious, spreading joy to everyone around her. She loves to play fetch in the yard and go for walks! This will make her the perfect companion for those who enjoy active outdoor pursuits. Gray is also incredibly friendly, quickly warming up to both humans and other dogs. She's a natural social butterfly, making her a great addition to a family with other pets.  Adopt Gray, and let her light up your life with love and happiness.

Update: 7/8/24

Since coming into GRIN's care Gray has been spending time with our trainer (positive methods only).  Gray participates in weekly training classes and her obedience is spot on!  This endearing girl is super fun and has boundless energy.  Gray would make a great agility dog.

She walks well on a leash and gets along great with other dogs. Cats are unknown.  Gray is a fence jumper, so she will need a home with a board-on-board fence.  Gray is looking for an active home to call her very own.

Update: 2/5/24

Gray is a playful, high energy girl.  She may be little, but she has a big personality!  This little gal is currently in the care of GRIN's positive reinforcement trainer where she is learning some basic obedience.  She is very food motivated and does well on a leash.  While we don't have any cat experience yet, given her energy level and age, we suspect she would give chase.

Gray loves other dogs but is a rough player.  She wants to be with people and loves to snuggle, just melting in to your body!  She is a work in progress.  Stay tuned for updates!
