Needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit from obedience training.
Another breeder gal for GRIN! Jasmine is timid and very nervous now, very common for these relinquishment’s. That’s to be expected and we know our foster family will welcome her with open arms and start building her confidence! Check back for updates on her progress.

Foster Update: 8/29/24
Jasmine came to GRIN with lots of fearfulness, but she has made great strides! While much of her fear is still present, she has started exploring more unprompted by her foster family. She seeks out attention and when she gets excited, will vocalize with little "a-woos" and "happy grumbly barks." She's an awesome little girl and if her foster mom and dad didn't already have 4 dogs, they would adopt her in a heartbeat, because she's so easy to have around. Jasmine will make a wonderful companion in her furever home.

Foster Update: 7/23/24
Jasmine is a sweet & sensitive girl. She is terrified of the world around her as it is all new and unfamiliar to her. Loud noises and new things are overwhelming, and she prefers the safety of her crate or ex-pen. In her first week here, we had to carry her outside because she refused to walk. While she has shown she understands that she needs to go outside to potty, she has shown little interest in being outside or exploring at all. There are times where we see her curiosity shining through, she will sniff a toy, or quietly smell the house when she thinks we aren't looking, but there are moments where it appears she suddenly 'realizes' that she is supposed to be scared and she quickly scurries back to her safe space in the crate.
During mealtimes she prefers to be left alone to eat and will abandon her bowl entirely if she is watched. She is not a picky eater, but if something scares her, she will not attempt to eat even if she is hungry. Her foster family then entices her to eat by adding wet food or hot dogs. She loves a good ear rub and will seemingly fully relax when they are occurring (we have been doing that for her as often as we can) and she is intrigued by other dogs. She has shown interest in playing with them, but then becomes nervous & backs away quickly. Currently our daily mission is to establish little grains of trust with her, no matter how small, so she can one day understand that she is safe, loved, and cared for. We are hopeful this will help boost her confidence. We are also going to try some scent work as well to see if that piques her interest. Jasmine will need a patient & quiet furever home!
