GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Maci is another breeder surrender.  She is full of spunk, social and friendly.  She walks great on a leash and is doing great in her foster home.  Once she gets settled, she will be ready for adoption in no time!

Foster Update: 10/28/24

Foster mom says it's been a treat to have Maci in her home. She has the best sense of humor…nothing but happy times with Maci! Foster mom reports she has never met such a good-natured dog.  Maci had to take it easy for the first week at her foster home since she'd had a difficult spay, but now that she's recovering, she walks beautifully on a leash, greeting all the people she meets, charging through big piles of leaves. Maci has superpowers when it comes to seeing squirrels, deer, birds, and chipmunks…she doesn't miss a thing.  When she meets an unfamiliar dog on a walk, you'd think she'd known them for years.

Maci’s favorite thing (other than a good belly rub) is to be playing with her collection of stuffed toys. Often seen carrying her prized toys through the house or the yard, she also has a lot of fun trying to engage resident dog to play tug of war. There is a whole lot of good-natured romping happening at her foster home. Maci has a healthy appetite and she's learning to love green beans and blueberries. She has a great sense of humor and is often observed pranking the resident dog, whether it's gently stealing toys from her, or zooming around the corner to catch her by surprise.  Maci also loves the car, but she needs a little boost to get in. She is as comfortable inside as outside and has shown no signs of fear or anxiety.  She does stairs well. Maci would enjoy a home with another resident dog as she loves the companionship. However, she would also thrive in a home with just her special people too. Maci has such a pretty face, and her tail is always wagging. She is going to settle quickly when the right family finds her.
