GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Adorable Max came in recently. He’s sweet and a bundle of fun energy! It was noted that he had a back leg issue and after X-rays, it was determined his femoral head never properly formed. The absence of this important bone can be painful and it was decided to amputate the leg, greatly improving his mobility and quality of life. This guy has a spunky spirit and we’re confident this is the best option for him. Stay tuned for further updates on his progress post-surgery.

Foster Update: 12/9/24

Anyone who adopts Max will win the canine lottery! He is such a good boy and has not let being a tripod slow him down. When playing with the resident dogs, he looks like a cute kangaroo hoping around on one leg. Max gets along very well with his canine family. He even shares his toys. Max does not pull while walking on leash which makes him very easy to walk. Max also has the best manners when taking treats from his humans. Did someone say cats? Max loves them too! He does not chase them and is very gentle when they are around. Once he’s all healed, Max will be a great addition to any family.
