GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Meet Amber, a seasoned lady with a heart of gold. She's an English Cream, radiating warmth and kindness. Her age of 7 doesn't define her; instead, it enriches her. Amber's sweetness is evident even though she’s a bit timid now. You see, she was a breeder mom. Now she’s ready for a confidante, a friend, a family. Every day with her is a gift, filled with joy and unconditional love. Amber deserves a forever home where she can continue to share her love, and in return, she'll fill your life with happiness and companionship.

Foster Update: 1/4/25

Amber is settling into life her foster home.  She has made friends with all the resident dogs.  She is completely house trained and loves her crate.  She loves to be petted and particularly loves spending time with foster dad.  Foster dad works from home and Amber is his constant companion.  Amber wasn't particularly fond of the activity around the house during the holidays.  She prefers peace and quiet to the hustle and bustle.  Amber can be a bit of a picky eater.  She will pick all the special things (chicken breast, turkey, broth) out of her bowl, and consistently waits until bedtime to eat the remaining kibble in her bowl, (she is fed in her crate).  She has begun accepting treats from human hands, and loves going on walks with the pack, weather permitting, as her foster home is in the snow belt.
