GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Hi there, I'm Dawn. I'm a bit on the shy side, but once you get to know me, you'll see how sweet and gentle I am. Did I mention that I am a pretty redhead? I'm just okay on a leash, so I'll need help from my adopter in this area. I'm quiet because I was a breeders' girl, and I am excited to have my very own family! I promise to be the best companion, providing unconditional love and loyalty. Adopting me means gaining a friend for life.

Foster Update: 2/5/25

Dawn is eating well and seems to be enjoying her food. She is still adjusting to life in her foster home and tends to spend most of her day by herself.   Dawn likes to hang out by the sliding glass door as it seems to be her safe spot, where she will go when she is frightened or uncomfortable.  At this time, she has not interacted with the resident dogs, but she does like attention from her foster mom.   Dawn is very sweet, and she likes when foster mom talks to her.  It has been a slow process with her becoming social and we are working on it every day by helping her build confidence. She seems to enjoy walks, but it has not been consistent due to the weather.  With time, patients, & the right family, we are convinced Dawn will come out of her shell and start to fully trust people.
