GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Foster Update: 3/7/25

Hello, Beau here again! My foster mommy said I’ve been the best boy lately and am a fast learner. I think it’s because I have been giving her lots of cuddles and let her pet me all day long. She sure likes the attention! She told me not to let my age fool you, that I have the energy of a 4-year-old! My favorite is when she puts her coat on, I know it’s time to go for my daily walk and I get so excited!

I have been working hard on being a better walker and to not pull, but when I see people, I try to get their attention so they can pet me too! Sometimes, when I get excited, I like to jump, but my foster mommy says I am getting better. I still need to work on my sharing, but I just like humans so much, I want all the attention!

Foster Update: 2/17/25

Hey everyone Beau here!  I wanted to tell you a few of the things that I am good at while I am looking for my fur-ever home.  First and most importantly, my foster mom tells me that I am very well-mannered.  I do love to eat and maybe a little overzealous at times, but feel most dogs are like that anyway.  I have never had an accident in the house…that is just gross! I absolutely love to run around the fenced in yard and love to take walks with my person.  I am totally a toy dog, love, love my toys and playing with them is the best thing ever.

I am working on a few things. I do get a little jealous of other dogs as I want all the attention from my people, but I am learning to be a better sharer.  I do pull a bit on my walks as I overheard my foster mom tell my foster dad, so I am really trying to do better.  Stay tuned for the next update soon!

Love. Beau
