GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Meet Maggie, an English cream golden with a heart full of love. She has a personality that's friendly and social. She'll feel great after being groomed--and a healthy diet will shape her up!

Foster Update: 4/1/25

Hello everyone, it’s Maggie again! I’m absolutely loving my new life! I enjoy playing with my furry friends, chewing on dog bones, and snuggling with my stuffies. But honestly, nothing beats a cozy bed and a peaceful nap—it’s my favorite way to spend the day. I prefer calm, quiet environments, as loud noises and chaos aren’t really my thing. I’m not a fan of thunderstorms either—they make me feel uneasy. While I enjoy spending time with other dogs, I don’t necessarily need a dog companion in my forever home. I’ve even warmed up to the cat; she’s starting to grow on me! I can’t wait to find my forever home, where I can enjoy all the love and comfort I deserve.

Foster Update: 2/25/25

I’m Maggie, and I’m absolutely loving this new life of mine! It’s so cozy here, and I’ve got some amazing friends…Mia and Flint, my golden foster buddies. They’re always up for fun and I love following them around wherever they go. I think I’m catching on quickly to all the little things around here. There’s also this funny little thing called a cat… she’s so much smaller than me, and I’m not entirely sure about her yet, but I’m curious to see how things go.

I used to be a mom, and I had several litters of pups. Those were such special times, but now I’m getting a chance to relax and take care of myself. I’m slowly getting back into shape, which feels really good. One of my favorite things to do is lay on my heated blanket, it’s so warm and comfy! Naps are the best, right? When I’m not snoozing, I like to chew on my stuffies and bones. They're so much fun to tear into. When the weather is nice, I love being in the yard with Mia and Flint. It’s so much fun to be outside and feel the breeze. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for a better life. Every day feels like an adventure, and I’m so happy to be here!
