GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit from obedience training. schoolbus

Meet Fisher, a handsome boy with a heart full of love. He does like a harness for walks but needs additional guidance and training. He was relinquished by a breeder who had gotten this guy from a family--so he has had time as a pet. We will find him a new home and be a beloved family member once again!!

Foster Update: 3/13/25

Six-year-old Fisher is a happy, loving, and gentle boy. He is completely house trained. Fisher is always ready to play fetch or sit nicely for an ear rub.  He knows how to occupy his time while his foster mom is busy and will play with his toys or lay down and watch her work. He is very respectful of his senior foster sister, if she doesn’t want to play, he understands and he’ll find a toy, lay down and relax. Fisher is crated at night and when his foster mom leaves home. He goes into the crate when coaxed in with a treat, sometimes even putting himself to bed.  Fisher doesn’t bark while he is in the crate. He enjoys his walks in the neighborhood and is currently working hard on his leash training. He doesn’t pull but sometimes doesn’t stay in his lane! Fisher will be a fun and joyful addition to any family. He has learned a few cues and is eager to please. His one wish is a person who loves throwing a ball as much, or more than he enjoys fetching it!
