Meet Mikey, a 12-week old golden that GRIN has taken in who hasn’t had the best of luck in his short life.  At 2 weeks old, he was diagnosed with Fading Puppy Syndrome and had to be bottle fed to stay alive.  At 4 weeks old, he started showing signs of “Swimmer’s Syndrome” which results in mobility issues and the inability to stand and walk.  His owner reached out to GRIN in hopes that we could help.

On Sunday May 23, GRIN will be holding a “Miles for Mikey” pack walk at the  Oak Grove Pavilion in the Brecksville Metroparks to help offset Mikey’s medical costs.  Because Mikey “Hit the Lotto” by landing with GRIN, as part of this event, we will be raffling off a lottery basket to help raise additional funds.

(Registration opens whenever we can get this posted on the website.  We can leave it open up until the day of the event.)

Due to Covid, we will be following social distancing protocols, so we will not be gathering in the pavilion.  We are just having a simple pack walk to allow people to bring their dogs out, enjoy the nice weather, see their GRIN friends & support a good cause!  Grin's standard leash policy applies, no flexies please!

Time: 11am-2pm  Rain or shine!

Ticket Prices:

-Registration for in-person walk: $10

-Lottery Raffle: $5/chance- these will be available for purchase online only.  People do not have to attend the in-person event in order to purchase a raffle ticket & win.  Winner will be drawn after the event, and lottery basket will be mailed to the lucky winner.
